Police News Release - June 29th, 2026

Arrest Warrants

In the past 24 hours four individuals were arrested on the strength of their Warrants for Arrest.

 

Breach of the Peace

In the past 24 hours four individuals were arrested for Breach of the Peace. They were brought to Brandon Police Serivice (BPS) detention cells and will be released in the morning.

 

Protective Detention & Care of Intoxicated Persons Act

In the past 24 hours four individuals were arrested due to their intoxication levels. They will be released once sober.

 

Theft Under $5000

On June 19th police received a report of a theft of merchandise from a store in Corral Centre of over $180. Today, a female turned her son, aged 15, into BPS as she was aware of the incident. The boy was charged and later released via Undertaking with a future court date of September 8th, 2026.

 

Breach of Probation

At 9:32 a.m. on Sunday, June 28th, police attended a house in the 700 block of 9th Street as a female was at the home of a male who she was on orders not to communicate with. Police arrested the 28-year-old female and transported her to Brandon Police Service detention cells. She was held in custody to appear in court later that same day.

 

Assault

On June 28th, at 11:52 a.m. police received a report of an assault in the 1100 block of Louise Avenue. The investigation revealed that a 46-year-old male had assaulted a female. Video surveillance from the area confirmed the assault. The male was located in the area and arrested, brought to BPS detention cells, and held in custody to appear in court on the morning of June 29th, 2026.
