Arrest Warrants
In the past 24 hours two individuals were arrested on the strength of their Warrants for Arrest. Both individuals were released via Appearance Notices with future court dates in July 2026.
Breach of Peace
In the last 24 hours two people were arrested and brought to the Brandon Police Service (BPS) detention cells due to Breach of the Peace. They will be released in the morning.
Protective Detention and Care of Intoxicated Persons Act
In the past 24 hours one individual was held in the BPS cells under the PDCIPA
Domestic Assault
On June 22nd, 2026, a female attended BPS and reported that she had been assaulted on June 19th, 2026, at a hotel in Winnipeg. As the incident was domestic in nature and both parties reside in Brandon, BPS assumed responsibility for the investigation. Photo evidence of the injuries was taken.
On June 23rd, 2026, at approximately 10:31 p.m., the 38-year-old male suspect was located at his residence and arrested. He was transported to BPS for processing and was subsequently released on an Undertaking with a court appearance scheduled for September 1, 2026.
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking / Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
On June 21st, 2026, at 4:28 p.m., due to a phone call reporting two people laying in the middle of a back alley behind the 600 block of 10th Street not moving, police conducted a well-being check. The 19-year-old female was moved along while the 36-year-old male was found to have 2.5 grams of fentanyl in his hand. Packaging materials consistent with drug trafficking were also found in his possession, along with a stolen Manitoba driver's license. The male was transported by ambulance to Brandon Regional Health Centre for medical assessment and treatment. Following his release from hospital, the male was arrested and held in BPS detention cells to appear in court the morning of June 24th, 2026.
Mischief to Property Under $5000
On June 22nd, 2026, a 46-year-old male attended a business in the 300 block of 9th Street and became upset, causing damage to a window valued at approximately $1,000. The incident was reported to police.
On June 23rd, 2026, the male returned to the same location and was located by police. He was arrested in connection with the incident and later released on an Undertaking with a court appearance scheduled for August 31st, 2026.
