Police News Release - June 17th, 2026

Breach of the Peace
Over the past 24 hours, two individuals were arrested for Breach of the Peace. Both will be released once sober.
Arrest Warrants
Over the past 24 hours, three individuals were arrested on outstanding Warrants for Arrest. One was released via Appearance Notices with a future court date while two were held for court.
Domestic Assault
On June 17th, shortly after midnight, police responded to a 911 call in which screaming could be heard in the background. Officers attended a house in the 1500 block of 3rd Street and located a 35-year-old female with a swollen arm. She reported that her boyfriend had assaulted her before leaving the residence. Officers located and arrested the 36-year-old male a short distance away, just down the block. He was taken into custody and transported to the Brandon Police Service (BPS). Due to a medical concern, the man was subsequently transported to the Brandon Regional Health Centre for assessment. He was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on August 20th, 2026.
Breach of Release Order
On June 16th at 8:15 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop and identified one of the vehicle's occupants as a 32-year-old man who was on parole with a condition prohibiting the possession or consumption of alcohol. Officers found the man to be in possession of alcohol and placed him under arrest for breaching his parole conditions.
The man was transported to the Brandon Police Service detention cells. His parole was subsequently revoked, and he was later transported to the Brandon Correctional Centre.
