Police News Release- June 11th, 2026

Break and Enter/Warrant Execution

 

At 10:19 a.m. police received a call for assistance from a 29-year-old female regarding a male who was known to her, that had broken into her home located in the 700 block of Braecrest Dr, sometime overnight. She reported the 41 year-old male had used her shower before leaving. The 41-year-old male was located at a residence on McVicar Cres where he was arrested for break and enter. He was released from custody on an undertaking to attend court in August 2026.

 

The 29-year-old female caller was also found to be at large for an outstanding warrant of arrest for theft under $5000. The female was arrested on the strength of this warrant, and she will be attending court in July for her own court.

 

Warrant Execution

 

At 5:56 pm, a 17-year-old male who was aware of an outstanding warrant for his arrest for failing to attend court turned himself in to officers at Brandon Police Service. He will now be attending court in July to answer to his charges.

 

LGCCA- Possession/Consumption by Minor

 

At 7:01 pm, police received a call from a resident in the 1500 block of Stickney Ave. She advised her son and some friends were at her residence and highly intoxicated. She stated her son was breaking things in the home. Upon Police arrival the caller’s son had left, however, a highly intoxicated 17-year-old female was located in the residence, and she was too intoxicated to even provide her own address and parent information to police. She was lodged at Brandon Police Station until sober then she will be released to a parent or guardian. The youth was also issued a ticket for underage consumption of liquor.
