Theft Under $5,000
On Saturday afternoon, on August 22nd, around 1:20pm, Police received a report of a theft of merchandise from a store in the 900 block of 18th St. North. The 35year-old suspect was located in the area, charged accordingly and released on an Undertaking with a scheduled Court date in October.
Assault Charges
At approximately 10:40pm on Saturday night, Police were advised that an assault that had just taken place when the complainant was almost pushed out of a moving vehicle. The subsequent Police investigation led to both persons involved to be charged with one count of assault. A 46year-old male and a 53year-old female were released on an Undertakings and will appear in Court in November.
Breach of Peace
In the last 24 hours 1 person has been lodged in the Brandon Police Service for Breach of Peace. They were arrested and held in BPS detention cells to be released in the morning.
Protective Detention and Care of Intoxicated Persons Act
In the past 24 hours 4 individuals were held in the BPS cells under the PDCIPA.
