Protective Detention & Care of Intoxicated Persons Act

In the past 24 hours, five individuals from separate incidents were arrested under the PDCIPA. The individuals will be released once sober in the morning.

 

Breach of Peace

In the past 24 hours, two individuals from separate incidents were arrested breach of the peace. Both will be released once sober.

Warrant Executed

A male was located and arrested on the strength of his endorsed warrant for breaching his probation order. He was served paperwork and released with an upcoming court date.

 

Domestic Assault

Police responded to a disturbance where two males were fighting. Investigation revealed the males were in a domestic relationship and both provided disclosure of assault against the other. Both were charged and released on conditions not to contact each other.

 

Breach of Release Order

Overnight a youth male was brought to BPS by friends as he was highly intoxicated and unable to walk. This male had conditions including no alcohol, a curfew, and more, all of which he was breaching, he was held for court in the morning when sober.
