Breach of Probation

On Friday, April 17th around 10:15pm, Police were at a residence in the 2000 block of McDonald Avenue and located a female youth who was bound by a Probation Order not to have contact with the individual she was with. As a result, the 15year-old was charged with Failing to Comply with her Probation Order and was released on an Appearance Notice with a Court date in June.

 

Firearms Charges

Just after midnight on Saturday April 18th, Police attended a residence on Riverheights Drive for an unrelated matter. While in the residence Police observed a long gun lying on the bed, and 3 others on the floor. As a result, a 25year-old female and a 27year-old male were arrested and charged with a number of offences including, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm and Storage of a Firearm Contrary to Regulations. They were both held in the BPS cells to appear in Court in the morning.

 

Warrants Executed

  • Just after 3pm on Friday afternoon, Police located a 46year-old male who was known to have 2 outstanding Warrants for his Arrest. He was arrested and lodged in the BPS cells to appear in Court in the morning.
  • At approximately 10pm, Police came into contact with a 15year-old male and it was learned that he had a Warrant for his arrest for Failing to Comply with his Probation Order. Due to his level of intoxication, he was held in the BPS cells and released on an Appearance Notice and will appear in Court in May.
  • Around 11:15pm Police located a female at a business in the 700 block of 10th St. and it was confirmed that she had a Warrant of Arrest for Failing to Attend Court. The 30year-old was lodged in cells to appear in Court in the morning.

 

Breach of Peace

In the last 24 hours 3 people were lodged in the Brandon Police Service for Breach of the Peace related incidents.
