Join Us for the Spring Downtown Community Clean-Up Day

Brandon, MB – The City of Brandon invites residents, businesses, and organizations to take part in the annual Downtown Spring Community Clean-Up Day on Thu, May 7 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Princess Park.

This event serves as an excellent opportunity for the community to come together to help beautify downtown Brandon by removing litter and debris accumulated over the winter months. The 2026 clean-up is being held in partnership with Brandon Neighbourhood Renewal Corporation (Fresh Start Program), Brandon Downtown BIZ, and the Manitoba Harm Reduction Network.

Light refreshments including coffee, water, juice boxes, and cookies will be provided. Sunscreen and hand sanitizer will also be available. 

Prizes will be awarded for the following categories:

  • Best or most fun dressed team (teams are encouraged to pre-register)
  • Most garbage collected (pictures are encouraged)
  • Best team photo, before-and-after photo, or unique downtown find

Participants will be provided with safety vests, gloves, garbage bags, garbage pickers, and sharps containers. Training on proper sharps disposal will be provided on site. Waivers for liability and consent for photographs can be signed upon arrival or pre-filled via this online form. Participants will be assigned designated clean-up areas and provided with a map to guide their efforts.
