Flood Update - July 17, 2026
As of 7:00 a.m., the Assiniboine River level at 1st Street is 1177.77 feet, continuing its gradual decline from peak levels earlier this week.
While water levels are receding, the city remains actively engaged in flood response efforts. Pumps continue to operate at locations across Brandon, and crews are monitoring them.
Staff are also conducting regular inspections of dikes, pumping stations, and other flood protection infrastructure to ensure everything continues to function as intended.
Although conditions are improving, residents are reminded that flood waters can still present significant safety risks.
Please stay away from riverbanks, flood control structures, and any standing or moving water.
