Super Sandbag Removal Begins Today, July 27
As river levels continue to decline, Provincial crews will begin removing the super sandbags along 1st Street starting today.
This work will take some time, and we ask residents to please give crews plenty of space to work safely. Motorists should also expect delays in the area as equipment and personnel are on site throughout the removal process.
We appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation as we continue moving from flood response into recovery. We will continue to provide updates as needed.
Sandbag Return Information
Starting today, residents can return sandbags to the compound behind the Civic Services Complex, located at 900 Richmond Avenue East, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
To return your sandbags:
- Place the entire sandbag in the large bin marked "Sandbag Disposal"
- No need to empty the sandbags before dropping them off
- No check-in is required at the Civic Services Complex front desk
