Flood Recovery Update – August 14, 2026
Now that the Assiniboine River has receded within its banks, city crews can continue with the site assessments, debris removal, repairs, and cleanup in our low-lying areas.
Dinsdale and Queen Elizabeth Parks remain closed, with today’s precipitation likely delaying recovery efforts as drying time will be required to gain access to certain areas.
City crews are working to reopen these areas as quickly as possible. However, we ask for your continued patience and understanding as we take the time needed to complete the work properly and ensure our parks are safe for everyone to enjoy.
Please continue to respect these closures while the necessary work is completed. We will provide an update once the areas are safe and reopened for public use.
