Flood Recovery Efforts - July 28, 2026

Crews are making steady progress in removing temporary flood protection measures and restoring drainage infrastructure throughout the city as the Assiniboine River levels continue to recede.

Work is underway at several locations as we transition from flood response to recovery. Residents may notice equipment, pumps, sandbags, and other protective infrastructure being removed over the coming days and weeks.

Planning is underway for the removal of the Grand Valley Road Dike closure. A bid opportunity for the work has been posted with removal scheduled for next week. We will continue to keep residents informed and provide updates as plans are finalized and the process moves forward.

We thank residents for their patience and cooperation as this important work continues. Please remember to give crews space to work and use caution around active cleanup areas.
