Backlane Maintenance Reminder

Brandon, MB - The City of Brandon is reminding residents that property owners are responsible for maintaining backlanes. This includes keeping grass, trees, and shrubs trimmed so they don’t block visibility for drivers or pedestrians.

Well-maintained backlanes help keep neighbourhoods looking their best and support safe, efficient City operations, including weekly collection and maintenance.

Over the past several weeks, City crews have also been responding to strong winds by clearing tree debris and addressing related concerns. If you notice an issue with a City-owned tree, please report it online: https://www.brandon.ca/report-an-issue

Crews are currently completing annual backlane maintenance across the city. Work began in May in the East End, and you may continue to see equipment in backlanes over the coming weeks west of 18th Street and on the North Hill.

Thank you for helping keep our backlanes safe, accessible, and looking great!
