Applications Now Available for 2016 Municipal Grant Funding

Brandon, MB – The City of Brandon’s Grants Review Committee wishes to advise community groups that grant applications are now being accepted from non-profit organizations that wish to be considered for grant funding in the 2016 fiscal year.

Applications, along with the required financial documents, must be completed and submitted to the City Clerk’s Office by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30th, 2015. The City Clerk’s Office is located on the 2nd Floor of Brandon City Hall, 410-9th Street.

Applications will be reviewed in the fall of 2015 by the Grants Review Committee of City Council, with recommended grant funding to be provided for Council approval prior to its 2016 budget deliberations. Approved grant funds will then be issued following final approval of the 2016 Financial Plan.

In 2015, grants totalling more than $174,000 were provided to 44 different various community groups and organizations.
