Appointments to Board of Directors of the Brandon Downtown Development Corporation

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT City Council will be considering two (2) appointments for a three-year term of office to the Brandon Downtown Development Corporation Board of Directors to begin on April 1, 2018 and expire March 31, 2021.

The Board is responsible for:

  • governing the organization by establishing broad policies and objectives;
  • selecting, appointing, and supporting the Executive Director;
  • making decisions on program administration and funding applications;
  • ensuring the availability of adequate financial resources;
  • approving annual budgets;
  • accounting to the stakeholders for the organization’s performance;
  • utilizing personal and professional skills, relationships, and knowledge for the advancement of the Brandon Downtown Development Corporation and revitalization of downtown Brandon.

 

No person shall be qualified for election as a Director if they are less than eighteen (18) years of age. Interested persons are encouraged to apply online at http://renaissancebrandon.ca/board-application. Hard copies of the application form are available on the City of Brandon’s website (http://www.brandon.ca/council-information/committees-and-boards) or at the City Clerk’s Office, located on the 2nd Floor of City Hall, 410 – 9th Street. All applications must be received by the same office no later than 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 20, 2018.

All applications shall be considered by City Council in its selection process, and such appointments shall be final.
