Robbery-Suspect arrested

On January 7, 2020 at approximately 3:00 pm, police received a report of a robbery, which occurred at a business in the 800 block of Rosser Ave.

After entering the business, the suspect interacted with an employee and claimed to be interested in some items. The suspect then  took out a small folding knife and grabbed the tip jar containing cash while the employee was assisting them.

The suspect ran out of the business. Nobody was harmed, and there were no verbal threats made to the employee.

On January 8, 2020, at approximately 6:00 pm, the 34-year-old female suspect was located and arrested. She had returned to the area of the business. Employees recognized her and notified police, which led to her arrest. She was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in court today on a charge of Robbery.

 

Stolen Vehicle Recovered

A vehicle stolen out of Winnipeg was recovered in Brandon on January 7, 2020. A homeowner in the 1900 block of 34th street N came home in the afternoon and discovered the vehicle parked in their yard. The vehicle was a blue Dodge Caliber.  Anyone with information regarding the theft of this vehicle is encouraged to contact Brandon Police Service.
