Stolen Vehicle Recovered

On August 21, 2023, shortly after 6:00 am, police received a report of a stolen vehicle from the 500 block of 23rd Street. Sometime overnight a silver 2023 Chevrolet 2500 with MB license plate CFC 860 was taken from the street where it was parked. Approximately 15 minutes after the report was taken, the vehicle was located unoccupied in the 1200 block of 20th Street.

Break and Enter

On August 21, 2023, at approximately 11:21 am, police received a report of a break and enter to a residence in the 3300 block of McDonald Avenue. The homeowner indicated he had found his garage door open on August 15th. On this date he realized he is missing some items. Stolen was an older B.U. Laptop, a dashboard camera, and sunglasses.

Fail to Comply Court Order

On August 19, 2023, police received a report of noncompliance with a no contact order that occurred in the 1300 block of 18th Street. While out in public a 34-year-old male attempted to have a conversation with a female whom he is to have no-contact with. Police later located and arrested the male. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court today on charges of Fail to comply with a Court Order and Fail to comply with an Undertaking.

 

Assault Peace Officer

On August 21, 2023, at approximately 6:30 pm, police responded to report of a disturbance in the 700 block of Brentwood Trailer Park. A 16-year-old female was removed from the residence. While being turned over to her guardian she spit on the police officer. She was arrested and later released to appear in court on October 31st, 2023, on a charge of Assault Peace Officer.

 

Mischief to Property

On August 21, 2023, shortly before 10:00 pm, police responded to report of a male damaging a vehicle in the 500 block of Princess Avenue. The 39-year-old male suspect was located in the area and arrested. He was later released to appear in court on October 23rd, 2023, on a charge of Mischief to Property.

 

Arrest Warrants

On August 21, 2023, a 20-year-old female wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to comply with a Court Order turned herself in to police. She was lodged at Brandon Police Service to attend court today.

On August 21, 2023, police located and arrested 29-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding RCMP charges of Fail to comply with a Release Order. He remains in custody to attend court today.

On August 20, 2023, RCMP located and arrested a 28-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding Brandon Police Service charges of Breach of Probation and Fail to Attend Court.  He was later released and will appear in court on September 8th, 2023.

On August 21, 2023, police located and arrested a 17-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding RCMP charges of Fail to comply with an Undertaking.  He was later released to appear in court on November 27, 2023.

On August 21, 2023, police located and arrested a 36-year-old male who was wanted on an outstanding DNA Warrant. The DNA sample was collected, and he was later released.
