Theft Under $5000

On December 17, 2023, at 8:00 pm, police responded to a report of theft from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue. Further investigation revealed the 33-year-old male suspect was also wanted for a previous theft that took place at the same location on December 16, 2023. He was located, arrested, and later released to attend court on February 20, 2024, on charges of Theft Under $5000 and Fail to Comply with an Undertaking.

Breach of the Peace

On December 17, 2023, police responded to a report of a disturbance at a business in the 800 block of Pacific Avenue.  An intoxicated 22-year-old female patron had been asked to leave was refusing to do so.  She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to prevent the continuation of her behavior.

On December 18, 2023, shortly before 1:00 am, police responded to a report of an unwanted guest at an apartment in the 600 block of McDiarmid Drive. Police attended and arrested an uncooperative and intoxicated 32-year-old female.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober to prevent continuation of her behaviour.

IPDA

On December 18, 2023, at approximately 3:30 am, police responded to a report of a male checking windows and trying doors at a business in the 2500 block of Victoria Avenue East.  The 66-year-old male was located highly intoxicated and in no condition to be on his own. Police were unable to locate any adult who would care for him, so he was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

Arrest Warrants

On December 17, 2023, shortly after 9:30 pm, police located a stalled vehicle in the 3400 block of Richmond Avenue. The 43-year-old male driver was found to be wanted on outstanding charges of failing to comply with conditions of his parole.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre.
