Break, Enter and Theft

At noon on Friday Jan 10th a resident in the 1900 block of 9th Street reported her residence had been broken into earlier in the morning. When the caller returned they found the home had been entered and a PS4 and many of its components as well as a laptop and a soundbar had been stolen. The matter is still under investigation.

 

Theft - Shoplifting

At 4:15 PM Friday Police received a call of shoplifting from a business in the Corral Centre. Staff at the store had apprehended a 33-year-old Brandon male attempting to leave the store with assorted stolen merchandise valued at $510. The male was arrested and later released and is to attend court on the 9th of March.

 

Break and Enter

At 4:50 PM on Friday Police received a report of a break and enter to a residence on Buttercup Bay. The caller indicated that his residence was entered sometime during the day. The matter is still under investigation.

 

Break, Enter and Theft

At 5:25 PM on Friday Police received a call of a break and enter in the 1000 block of Dennis St. The resident had returned home to find the rear door of the home open and a bicycle had been stolen. The incident occurred sometime during the day while the caller was not at home. The matter is still under investigation.

 

Mischief to Property

On January 3 2020, a motorist was traveling in the 100 block of Rosser Ave when they witnessed dispute between a male and female on the sidewalk. They stopped to see if the female was ok and the male became agitated and smashed the windshield of their vehicle. The 30-year-old Brandon male was identified, and then located on Friday. He was arrested for Mischief to Property and was released with a court date of March 2nd.

 

Break, Enter and Theft

On Friday evening, Police received a report of a break and enter to a business in the 1000 block of 20th St. It appears that on the 7th of January a storage unit was entered, and at the time of report an undetermined list of things were stolen. The matter is still under investigation.

 

Theft – Shoplifting

On Friday evening a business in the Corral Centre called police as staff had apprehended a 34-year-old Brandon female stealing $103 worth of meat and cheese. The female was arrested and released with a court date of March 2nd.

 

Arrest Warrant Executed

At approx. 2:45 AM this morning, officers located a 23-year-old Brandon male at an address on E Fotheringham Dr. The male was known to police to be the subject of an arrest warrant for failing to appear in court in 2019 having been charged for possessing Meth. The male was arrested and later released with a new court date of Feb 6th.

 

Other Arrests:

  • 1 female was arrested and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Centre for Breach of the Peace.
  • 1 male was arrested and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Centre under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act
