Stolen Vehicle Recovered
On August 10, 2023, at 10:40 am, police located an unoccupied stolen vehicle in the 1200 block of 10th Street. The 2014 grey Kia Sorento with MB license plate HKW971 was stolen on August 3, 2023, from the 1100 block of 7th Street.

Theft of Motor Vehicle
On August 8, 2023, police responded to the area of Durum Drive for a report of a vehicle that was taken without the owner’s consent. On August 10, 2023, the 27-year-old suspect returned with the vehicle. Further investigation revealed that the suspect had also assaulted the victim and was residing in Brandon contrary to his release order conditions. He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court today on charges of Theft of Motor Vehicle, Assault, and Fail to Comply Release Order.
Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
On August 10, 2023, at 6:40 pm, police came across a pedestrian in the 700 block of Rosser Avenue. The 29-year-old male was found to have a machete concealed in his waistband. Search incident to arrest revealed he was also in possession of a small quantity of methamphetamine. The male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court today on charges of Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Carry a Concealed Weapon, and Possession of Methamphetamine.
Arrest Warrants
On August 10, 2023, a 34-year-old female attended to Virden RCMP Detachment, as she was wanted on outstanding Brandon Police Service charges of Fail to Comply Release Order. She was lodged to appear in court today.
On August 11, 2023, police located and arrested a 40-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Theft Under $5000 and Fail to Attend Court. She was later released to appear in court on September 21, 2023.
On August 11, 2023, police located and arrested a 28-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Theft Under $5000. She was later released to appear in court on August 24, 2023.
