Assault
On August 1, 2023, police received a report where a Loss Prevention Officer at a retail store was assaulted by a patron. The incident was recorded on store video and showed a male slapping the store employee across the face. Officers were able to identify the suspect in the video, having dealt with him numerous time in the past. On Sunday at approx. 10:245 AM the male was located by police and arrested for assault. The 38 year old male will appear in court on October 23.
Fail to Comply with Undertaking / Possess Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
At approx. 2:30 AM today, police checked a male in the 600 block of 13th St. The 18 year old male who was known to police was found to be the subject of a daily curfew, which he was not following. As a result, he was arrested for Failing to comply with his Undertaking. During a search incident to arrest he was found to be carry a replica firearm, concealed in his waistband. He was arrested for possession the weapon and for the Undertaking breach and was held for court. The male has since been remanded into custody and will appear in court on August 8.
