LGCCA – Disorderly Conduct

On January 3, 2020, police responded to a report of several intoxicated individuals at a business in the 1100 block of 18th street shortly after 1:00 am. Employees advised them to leave, but they refused. The suspects were attempting to start fights with others, and were acting out.

Two suspects were arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre due to their intoxication levels, and to prevent any further disturbances.

A 30-year-old male and a 25-year-old male will each receive $672 fines under the Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Control Act for Disorderly Conduct.

 

Assault

On January 2, 2020, shortly after 3:00 pm, police responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence. Officers learned that an assault occurred between two individuals there following an argument.

A 35-year-old female was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre. She will appear in court today on a charge of Assault. A 51-year-old male was also arrested and will appear in court on January 30, 2020 on a charge of Assault.  Neither individual required medical attention.

 

Stolen Vehicle - Recovered

On December 13, 2019, police received a report of a theft of a 2001, white, GMC Sierra from the 200 block of Queens Ave.

On January 2, 2020, the vehicle was discovered in Dauphin MB by members of the RCMP.  Anyone with information regarding this theft is encouraged to contact Brandon Police Service.

 

Theft Under $5000

On January 2, 2020, police received a report of the theft of merchandise from a business in the 1500 block of 18th street. Employees prevented a 22-year-old female suspect from leaving.  One arrested by police, the suspect was released to appear in court on February 24, 2020 on a charge of Theft Under $5000.

 

Arrest Warrant - Fail to Comply with Probation

On January 3, 2020, police came across a male pedestrian in the 700 block of 10th street, who was wanted on outstanding charges.  The male was released to appear in court on February 3, 2020 on a charge of Fail to Comply with Probation.

 

Arrest Warrant

On January 2, 2020, a 19-year-old female attended Brandon Police Service, as she was aware of a warrant in effect for her arrest.  She will appear in court on February 3, 2020 on a charge of Fail to Attend.

 

IPDA

On January 3, 2020, police received a report of an intoxicated individual in the 100 block of McTavish Ave E. The 19-year-old male, who was from a rural community, was unable to provide the address where he was staying, or the name of anyone who could care for him. He was lodged at Brandon correctional Centre until sober, as he was unable to care for himself.

 

Breach of Peace

On January 2, 2020, shortly before 11:00 am, police responded to a report of a female at a business in the 100 block of 7th street jumping on furniture, and behaving aggressively towards others. The suspect was refusing to leave. The 40-year-old female was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre to prevent any further issues.
