Brandon, MB – A free, safe bus ride to and from your New Year’s Eve party awaits you, thanks to the efforts of Brandon Transit and its generous community sponsors!

From 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31st (New Year’s Eve) to 3 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 1st (New Year’s Day), Brandon Transit will run its buses on a regular modified (hourly) service. During those hours, it will be absolutely free to get on or off the bus at any of those route’s designated stops.

“Brandon Transit is happy to offer this annual, free service to those in our community whose festivities take them out and about on New Year’s Eve,” said Timothy Sanderson, Director of Transportation Services with the City of Brandon. “Anything we can do to reduce potentially unsafe behaviour on a night reserved for happy celebration is worth it for us!”

As many revellers are on the go while making New Year’s Eve plans, Brandon Transit makes it easy to plan your ride right from your mobile device with the Google Transit Web Service!
