Brandon Fire & Emergency Services Reminding Residents Of Requirements Regarding Fire Pits Usage

Brandon, MB – With the unseasonably dry conditions that the City of Brandon is currently experiencing, Brandon Fire and Emergency Services would like to remind the residents of Brandon of the following requirements regarding the use of fire pits within city limits: 

  • The fire pit must be approved for use by Brandon Fire and Emergency Services prior to using 
  • The fire pit must be supervised at all times when being used 
  • Fire pits are not allowed to burn grass, leaves, or trash 
  • Fire pits should not be used in windy conditions 
  • The spark arrester must be in place when using the fire pit 
  • That a water source is nearby when using the fire pit 
  • THE FIRE PIT MUST BE FULLY EXTINGUISHED AFTER USE.

Brandon Fire and Emergency Services will continue to monitor the environmental conditions in Brandon, and if necessary, provide further updates as to the use of fire pits.
