Brandon, MB – Management and staff at Brandon’s Eastview Landfill wish to advise the public that due to construction now underway at the landfill’s scale area, all inbound and outbound traffic will be routed across a single scale for the next few months.
Work is now underway to demolish the Eastview Landfill’s old scale building and to replace the current outbound scale with a new one. Construction of a new scale building and new inbound scale was completed late last year.
During this approximately three-month construction period, all inbound and outbound traffic accessing the landfill site will be required to use the inbound scale. At peak times, users may experience delays at the scale when entering or exiting the landfill site. Those accessing the Eastview Landfill are asked to respect all traffic control measures in place and follow the direction of staff and signage for the duration of this construction. Users are also asked to watch for workers both inside and outside the scale construction zone and to obey the posted 30 KM/H speed limit within the landfill site for the safety of all.
