‘Team Up To Clean Up’ Event Comes to Brandon May 13th

Brandon, MB – The City of Brandon, the Brandon Environment Committee, and Take Pride Winnipeg have “teamed up to clean up” this year and invite the community will join them on Saturday, May 13th for the 2017 "Team Up To Clean Up" Event at Princess Park in downtown Brandon.

As part of its Take Pride Manitoba initiative, the Take Pride Winnipeg organization has provided generous support to the City of Brandon and the Brandon Environment Committee for its annual spring community clean-up event, which encourages participants to meet up and clean litter from sidewalks, boulevards, and other public greenspaces across Brandon.

This year’s event is set for Saturday, May 13th, with registration and distribution of clean-up supplies to begin at 10 a.m. in Princess Park, located at 9th Street and Princess Avenue. The first 100 participants will receive a free T-shirt, and all participants will be invited to participate in a wrap-up BBQ immediately following the clean-up, with a chance to win additional prizes. The event’s friendly “Brandon City Council Challenge” is returning this year, with a trophy and bragging rights up for grabs by the Council member who can yield the highest clean-up participation in their ward.
