Overnight Parking Ban on Sections of Princess Avenue, Rosser Avenue & Pacific Avenue TONIGHT (Friday, January 13th)

January 12, 2017

The City of Brandon’s Streets & Roads Department wishes to update the public on its various snow-clearing activities.

Focus this week has centred on removing large piles of snow from in and around school zones. With that task complete, crews are now currently removing large snow piles from the medians along Victoria Avenue East. From there, attention will return to clearing the remaining snow piles in various areas of the City’s downtown.

As such, an overnight parking ban is in effect along the following snow routes, beginning TONIGHT ( 12 a.m., Friday, January 13th ) and ending at 8 a.m. on Friday, January 13th.

•             Rosser Avenue, from 1st Street to 18th Street (24:00 to 08:00)

•             Princess Avenue, from 1st Street to 18th Street (24:00 to 08:00)

•             Pacific Avenue, from 1st Street to 18th Street (24:00 to 08:00)

As per the City of Brandon Traffic By-law, overnight parking along these routes (12 a.m. to 8 a.m.) is prohibited if a snow plowing/removal notice has been issued by the City of Brandon. Vehicles that remain parked along signed snow routes during an identified snow-clearing event risk being ticketed and/or towed at their own expense.

Sidewalks continue to be cleared in keeping with City snow-clearing procedure, which can be found in detail at http://www.brandon.ca/snow-removal.
