New Brandon Municipal Airport Terminal Now Open For Departures

October 7, 2016

Brandon, MB – Management and staff at the Brandon Municipal Airport wish to advise the public that daily flight departure service will begin operating out of the airport’s new terminal building as of today, October 7th.

The move of the WestJet counter, security screening, baggage check and all other daily airport operations into the newly-constructed portion of the terminal building was completed yesterday evening. All passengers accessing departing flights will now access the Brandon Municipal Airport via the new building’s front entrance. The original portion of the terminal building will now be closed to allow for scheduled upgrades to the existing structure.

However, passengers arriving on inbound flights will still be required to de-board their aircraft and walk around the terminal to access the temporary arrivals trailer and gather their checked luggage prior to leaving the airport facility.

All members of the public accessing the Brandon Municipal Airport are asked to continue parking to the west of the terminal building, as the facility’s new parking lot is still under construction.

All visitors to the Brandon Municipal Airport are encouraged to watch for additional information on changes to traffic and passenger flow in the coming weeks and months as the project nears completion in early 2017.
