Warrant

On 2023-03-15, police attended to an address in the 100 block of 12th Street E as a resident was known to have an outstanding warrant.  A 28-year-old female was arrested and released with conditions to appear in court May 12, 2023.

Theft of Motor Vehicle

On the afternoon of 2023-03-15, police received a report that a vehicle was stolen from the 1300 block of 5th Street.  The owner had witnessed the male suspect commit the theft and immediately notified police.  Approximately 3 minutes after receiving the report, police located the vehicle near 6th Street and Mctavish Avenue, whereby a traffic stop was attempted.  The vehicle failed to comply with the stop and officers disengaged the attempt to ensure public safety.  The stolen vehicle was located by police in the 200 block of 2nd Street and discovered to be unoccupied.  A police canine track was conducted and led to a residence in the 200 block of 1st Street.  Police investigation resulted in locating the male suspect that was identified as stealing the vehicle and fleeing from police.  A 30-year-old male has been arrested and lodged at BPS to appear 2023-03-16 for the charges of Theft of Motor Vehicle, Flight from Police, Failure to Comply with Undertaking X2, and Drive while Prohibited.

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine

On the afternoon of 2023-03-15, police conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle in the 900 block of 13th Street.  The operator fled on foot followed by the officer humoring the suspect in also going for a brisk jog.  The suspect was taken into custody in the 900 block of 10th Street and found to be in possession of a small amount of cocaine, packaging materials, and a scale.  A 35 year old male has been released with conditions to appear in court 2023-05-11 for the charges of PPT Cocaine and Obstruct PO. 

Failure to Comply with Undertaking

On the evening of 2023-03-15, police received report from a resident in the 200 block of 8th street regarding two individuals had passed out on her front step.  Police attended and found the involved male and female to be highly intoxicated and on conditions to not consumer alcohol and nor communicate with each other.  A 31-year-old male and a 28-year-old female were lodged at BPS to appear in court 2023-03-16 for the charges of Failure to Comply with Undertaking X2.

Warrant

On the evening of 2023-03-15, police attended to a residence in the 1500 block of Stickney Avenue for an unrelated matter.  An occupant of the home was discovered to have an outstanding warrant of arrest.  An 18-year-old male was arrested and lodged at BPS to appear for court 2023-03-16.

Breach of Conditional Sentence Order

On the evening of 2023-03-15, police conducted a pedestrian check with a female in the 100 block of 9th Street.  A check of police records revealed that the subject to be serving a conditional sentence in the community whereby she is to be within her home and abide by a 24 hr curfew.  The 44-year-old female was arrested and lodged at BPS to appear for court 2023-03-16.

Breach of Peace

On the evening of 2023-03-15, police received a report from a business in the 700 block of 10th street regarding a female that was causing a disturbance and refusing to leave.  Police attended the location and spoke with the female who agreed to leave on her own accord.  4 hours later, staff from the business-notified police that the female had returned and was again causing a disturbance.  A persistent 37-year-old female was lodged at BPS until morning to prevent a continued Breaching of the Peace.
