Assault

On April 28, 2021, police attended to a report of the theft of merchandise from a business in the 1600 block of 18th street shortly after 2:00 pm. 

There were several individuals involved in the incident.  One of the suspects, a 30-year-old male struck an employee in the hand, knocking a cell phone to the ground as he tried to flee.  He was arrested at the business and lodged at Brandon Police Service due to his level of intoxication.  He will be released when sober to appear in court on June 24, 2021 on a charge of Assault.

A second suspect, a 28-year-old female was found to be in breach of her 24-hour curfew from a Conditional Sentence Order.  She too was arrested at the business and lodged at Brandon Police Service.

A third suspect, a 40-year-old male, managed to flee and was located several hours later going through yards in the area of Queens Cres and Violet Cres.  He was arrested for the theft of merchandise from the business.  He was also the suspect in a separate theft from a Corral Centre business on March 1, 2021.  Due to his level of intoxication, he was lodged at Brandon Police Service to be released when sober on charges of Theft Under $5000 X2.

 

Possession of a Weapon

On April 28, 2021, police responded to a request to remove unwanted individuals from a residence shortly before 4:00 pm.  One of the individuals, a 26-year-old male, was found to be in possession of bear mace, contrary to his release conditions not to possess any weapons.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service.  He will appear in court today on charges of Possession of Weapon, Fail to comply with Release Order, and Fail to Comply with Probation.

 

Assault

On April 28, 2021 at approximately 10:00 pm, police responded to a report of an assault at a residence.  A 15-year-old female was arrested for assaulting a second youth, who did not require medical attention.  She was released to her caregivers and will appear in court on July 19, 2021 on a charge of Assault

 

Fail to Comply with Undertaking

On April 28, 2021, shortly after 9:00 am, police responded to a report of a 33-year-old male who attended a business contrary to his undertaking conditions.  The male was arrested and released to appear in court on July 12, 2021 on a charge of Fail to Comply with Undertaking.

 

Arrest Warrants

On April 28, 2021, a 30-year-old male attended Brandon Police Service, as he was aware of an outstanding warrant for his arrest.  He was held in custody at Brandon Police Service to appear in court today on charges of Fail to comply with Undertaking.

On April 28, 2021, police located a 26-year-old male who was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant during a traffic stop.  He was released to appear in court on May 27, 2021 on a charge of Fail to Appear Court.

 

Breach of Peace

On April 28, 2021, police responded to a report of an unwanted female in a residence at approximately 5:30 pm.  The female admitted to using meth earlier in the day.  Due to her level of intoxication, she was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.
