Public Mischief

On April 19, 2021 at 2:00 am, police conducted a traffic stop in the 000 block of 10th street.  The occupant of the vehicle initially provided police with a false name to avoid arrest, as he was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Undertaking and Fail to comply with Probation. 

Upon his arrest, he was found to be in possession of several weapons contrary to court ordered conditions he was to abide by.  The weapons included a set of brass knuckles and bear mace. 

The 38-year-old male was lodged a Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Public Mischief, Possess Weapon x 3, Fail to Comply with Undertaking and Fail to Comply with Probation.

 

Assault with a Weapon

On April 15, 2021, at approximately 1:30 pm, police responded to a report of an assault in which two individuals were sprayed with bear mace in the area of the 800 block of Pacific Ave.  The two victims were treated for the exposure to the chemical at BRHC.

Police attempted to locate the suspect, but he fled from the area.

The 22-year-old male suspect was located on April 19, 2021 while walking in the 300 block of 8th street shortly after 2:00 am.  He was under the influence of illicit drugs at the time of his arrest, contrary to prior release conditions.

He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Assault with a Weapon X2 and Fail to Comply with Release Order.
