April 15, 2021 Disturbance call leads to Drug Trafficking Charges On April 14, 2021 at approximately 10:00 pm, police responded to a report of a disturbance in an apartment building on Cornell Bay. Police were lead to the apartment where the individuals causing the disturbance were staying and observations made lead police to acquire a search warrant for the apartment. Police located Xanax, Meth, Gabapentin and Marihuana as well as drug trafficking paraphernalia and cash. A 23-year-old female was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service as she was under the influence of drugs at the time of her arrest. She will be released to appear in court on June 10, 2021 on charges of Possess for the Purpose of Trafficking Xanax, Meth, Gabapentin and Marihuana, and Possession of Proceeds of Crime. Police continue to investigate. Break and Enter to Garage On April 14, 2021, police responded to a complaint of a break and enter to a residential garage in the 500 block of 38th street. Suspects entered the garage at approximately 4:00 am that day. Stolen were two bicycles. One was described as a black CCM with white and green decorations. The second is described as a Raleigh Encore 700c hybrid, blue in color with black writing. Fail to Comply with Undertaking On April 14, 2021, police responded to a report of a female going through a vehicle while it was parked in the owner’s driveway in the 1700 block of 8th street shortly before 12:00 noon. The female fled, but police located and arrested the 19-year-old female who was found to be in breach of her conditions not to be in a vehicle without the owner’s consent. She will appear in court on June 10, 2021. Breach of Peace On April 14, 2021 shortly before 11:00 pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated 31-year-old female who had been involved in a physical fight with her sister. To prevent the female from escalating further, she was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.
