Breach of the Peace
At 12:48pm, police received a report of a man waving a knife around in the 800’ block of Lorne Ave. The 42 year old man was located and uncooperative with police; however, he was not in possession of a knife at that time. He was lodged at BPS to be released when sober.
Aggravated Assault
On Monday September 12, three inmates at Brandon Correctional Center attacked another inmate causing injuries to his upper body. On September 13, all three suspects were arrested for the assault. A 41 year old male, a 31 year old male, and a 23 year old male will all appear in court today to deal with the charge.
Theft Under $5000 (bicycle)
On August 28th, 2022, police received a complaint of a bike being stolen from outside a business in the 1500’ block of 18th Street. The suspect was identified through video as a 29 year old Sioux Valley man. On September 13, at 9:34pm, he was located in a traffic stop near 10th Street and Victoria Ave and arrested. He was later released with a court date of November 28, 2022, to deal with the charge.
Possess Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
At 9:47pm, police responded to a person being bear sprayed in the 1000’ block of McTavish Ave. The suspect, a 23 year old man, was located nearby and arrested. He was later released with a court date of December 12, 2022.
Fraud Use of Debit Card
On September 5th, 2022, police received a report of a debit card being stolen and used at several locations within Brandon. The 39 year old male suspect was identified through video and arrested on September 13. He was later released with a court date of November 28th, 2022.
Break Enter & Theft
On September 3rd, police began investigating a break and enter to a garage in the 400’ block of 12 Street. One of the suspects, a 41 year old man, was identified through video. On September 14th, at 1:47am, he was located in the 700’ block of Rosser Ave and arrested. He was lodged at BPS for court later today.
On September 7th, 2022, police began investigating a break and enter to a residence in the 600’ block of 16th Street. The suspect was identified as a 28 year old man. He was located at 2:32am and arrested. He was given court date of November 14, 2022.
Impaired Driving
At 2:46am, police conducted a traffic stop in the 800’ block of Park Ave. The driver, a 28 year old man, was found to be impaired. He was arrested, provided breath samples, and later released with a court date of September 22nd, 2022.
Intoxicated Persons Detention Act
At 4:25am, police responded to a report of a 21 year old man who was intoxicated and walking on Richmond Ave. The man was located in the 3300’ block and lodged at BPS for his safety. He will be released later today once sober.
