Assault with a Weapon

On May 10, 2021, police responded to several reports of a dispute between family members at a residence after midnight.  The 16-year-old son who was causing the disturbance was given an opportunity to remain at home; however, after several hours, his behavior escalated and he proceeded to spray another family member with bear mace.  Police returned and arrested the youth.  He was lodged and will be released to appear in court on June 8, 2021 on charges of Assault with a Weapon, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, And Administer Noxious Thing with Intent.

 

IPDA

On May 9, 2021, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male in the laneway of the 700 block of 20th street shortly before 7:00 am.  The male was in no condition to be left on his own, and had nobody to care for him.  The 32-year-old male was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Break and Enter

On May 9, 2021 shortly before 8:00 pm, police responded to a report of a female who had just forced a door to a vacant hotel room in the 300 block of 18th street N.  The 19-year-old female was located and arrested.  She was to abide by a court order not to attend the location.  She was also to abstain from consuming illicit drugs.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Break and Enter, Fail to Comply with Undertaking and Fail to Comply with Probation.

 

Break and Enter to Garage

On May 9, 2021, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a residential garage on Whillier Dr.  Suspects gained entry to the garage between May 3 and May 9, 2021.  Stolen was a blue Trek Marlin mountain bike, with 29-inch tires, and a brown CCM bike. Fail to Comply with Release Order

On May 10, 2021, police conducted a vehicle stop in the 300 block of 10th street shortly after 2:00 am.  A 38-year-old female passenger who was to abide by a curfew was arrested.  She was later released to appear in court on July 5, 2021 on a charge of Fail to Comply with Release Order.
