Break Enter and Commit Mischief

At approx. 5 PM Friday, officers observed a male known to them in the 1000 block of Rosser.  The officer had identified the male as the suspect responsible for an April 25th break and enter to an apartment building in the 200 block of 8th St.  The 36 year old male was arrested for break and enter, as well as mischief over $5000 for the damage he caused in the building during the incident.  The suspect has since been released on an Undertaking with a court date of July 8.

Arrest Warrant Executed – Manslaughter  

At approx. 11:15 AM Friday, officers attended an address in Brandon, based on a tip provided, that suspect of an outstanding RCMP warrant may be located there.  Officers attended and located the 29 year old female on the strength of the warrant for manslaughter. The warrant stemmed from an incident that occurred in early March of 2024 on Sioux Valley Dakota Nation.  The suspect was turned over to members of the RCMP D Division’s Major Crime Unit.

Fail to Comply with Undertaking

At approx. 9:30 PM Friday, officers were called to a disturbance in the 600 block of 8th St.  Upon arrival officers checked the residence to ensure the safety of those inside and in doing so they located a 33 year old male hiding in a closet.  The male was found to be on an Undertaking with a condition not to communicate with the resident, who was also present. The suspect was also intoxicated and is on a condition not to consume alcohol. The male was arrested and has since been released with a court date of May 30, charged with two counts of failing to comply with an Undertaking.
