'Build a Bridge' - 8th Street Bridge Information

In April 2016, Brandon City Council decided the current 8th Street Bridge structure will be demolished in the summer of 2017, with an active transportation/pedestrian corridor being pursued as a replacement to connect the City of Brandon across the busy rail corridor. As the City of Brandon’s Development Services Division works to confirm the timeline for demolition of the decommissioned 8th Street Bridge, work has already begun in terms of identifying the type and scope of an active transportation/pedestrian corridor that may replace it.

The following survey allows residents and stakeholders to provide feedback on the various aspects of a new connection. Please click on the link below to provide your feedback!

Feedback from area property owners, stakeholders and the public at-large will be gathered at exploration sessions to aid City of Brandon staff in creating a vision for the connection as 'built' by the community it will serve.
