Applications Now Available for 2020 Municipal Grant Funding

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Brandon, MB – The City of Brandon’s Grants Review Committee wishes to advise community groups that grant applications are now being accepted from non-profit organizations in Brandon that wish to be considered for grant funding in the 2020 fiscal year.

Groups are required to submit their applications via the web form located at http://www.brandon.ca/council-information/grant-application-form. Organizations may also contact the Grants Review Secretary for more information at 204-729-2296 or by emailing cityclerk@brandon.ca.

Applications must be completed online and submitted to the City of Brandon Legislative Services Office by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28th, 2019.

Applicants should note some expenses are not eligible for grant funding, including municipal taxes, insurance or large capital projects such as major construction, building repairs or maintenance to parking lots or property.

Applications will be reviewed in the fall of 2019 by the Grants Review Committee of Brandon City Council, with recommended grant funding to be provided for City Council approval prior to its 2020 budget deliberations. Approved grant funds will then be issued following final approval of the 2020 Financial Plan in the spring of 2020.
