PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT that City Council will be considering one (1) citizen appointment to the Police Board of the City of Brandon. Should any person be interested in becoming a member of the Police Board, application forms are available online at www.brandon.ca or may be picked up at and returned to the City Clerk's Office, Second Floor, City Hall, 410 - 9th Street, NO LATER THAN DECEMBER 6, 2016.To be eligible for appointment to the Police Board, you must: (a) be at least 18 years of age; (b) be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident; and (c) reside or be employed in, or have a business interest in the City of Brandon
The following persons are not eligible for appointment to the Police Board: (a) a judge of the Court of Queen’s Bench or the Court of Appeal; (b) a Provincial Judge or Justice of the Peace; (c) a member of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba or of the Senate or House of Commons of Canada; or (d) a current or former member of the Brandon Police Service
