Appointments to Brandon Downtown Development Corporation Board (Renaissance Brandon)

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT City Council will be considering two (2) appointments for a three (3) year term of office to the Brandon Downtown Development Corporation Board to begin April 1, 2016 and expire March 31, 2019.

The Board is responsible for:

  • governing the organization by establishing broad policies and objectives;
  • selecting, appointing, and supporting the Executive Director;
  • making decisions on program administration and applications;
  • ensuring the availability of adequate financial resources;
  • approving annual budgets;
  • accounting to the stakeholders for the organization's performance;
  • utilizing personal and professional skills, relationships, and knowledge for the advancement of the Brandon Downtown Development Corporation and enhancement of the downtown HUB district and area.
     

No person shall be qualified for election as a Director if he or she is less than eighteen (18) years of age. Interested persons are encouraged to apply online here or at www.renaissancebrandon.ca, or at the City Clerk’s Office on the 2nd Floor of City Hall, 410 – 9th Street. All applications must be received by the same office no later than 4:00 p.m., February 29, 2016.

All applications shall be considered by City Council in its selection process, and such appointments shall be final.
