City of Brandon Conducting Overnight Snow & Ice Clearing

February 15, 2016

Brandon, MB - the City of Brandon’s Streets and Roads Department will be plowing P1 routes over the next two nights beginning tonight - Monday, February 15th at midnight.

As a result of the recent snow fall, City crews will begin clearing efforts tonight at midnight, starting with the P1 areas which includes arterial and collector streets, City bus routes, and selected residential streets. Residents are advised to watch for snow clearing equipment in these areas. Scheduling of this work will take into consideration Sanitation garbage/recycling pickup in the residential areas and will be conducted accordingly. It is important to note that the parking ban will be in effect tonight, February 15th, starting at midnight. Residential areas that were not completed prior to Saturday’s snowfall will continue at this time as well. Please note that residential areas will not be signed with “No Parking” signage prior to plowing, with the exception of the core area due to the narrow width of the streets in that area. Residents and motorists can greatly aid the process by watching for snow-clearing equipment in their neighbourhood and endeavoring to park off-street until clearing is complete.
