Brandon, MB – The City of Brandon's skating oval is now temporarily closed following an unseasonably warm weekend in Westman. The warm weather has made for unsafe skating conditions on the ice.
The skating oval is closed today until Wednesday, February 10th at 4:00 p.m. (weather permitting) to allow for City staff to re-flood the ice surface. The warming shacks, music and flood lights will be turned off until the skating oval opens again.
We ask that the public respect the current barricades and stay off the ice surface until it is fully-flooded and ready for skating.
