City Of Brandon Holding Surplus Vehicle & Equipment Sale Brandon, MB

Brandon, MB – The City of Brandon wishes to advise the public of an opportunity to bid on a number of quality vehicles and specialized industrial equipment during its annual Surplus Vehicle Sale. The annual sale allows the City the opportunity to refresh its vehicle fleet in a timely and efficient manner, while at the same time offering the public a unique shopping opportunity for recently-safetied, lower-thanaverage mileage vehicles.

Numerous vehicles are up for sale this year, including a 2010 Honda Insight Hybrid, a variety of Ford, Dodge, GMC and Chevrolet pick-up trucks, and a handful of specialized heavy-duty pieces of machinery.

Interested members of the public can visit http://www.brandon.ca/purchasing-and-tenders/purchasing-and-tenders to download pictures and descriptions of the vehicles up for sale this year. Bid submission forms can also be downloaded from the City of Brandon website.

Vehicles will be available for viewing on Thursday, November 13th, 2014, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the City of Brandon’s Civic Services Complex (Rear Garage), located at 900 Richmond Avenue East.

A variety of lawn mowers, grinders and arborist equipment is also available for sale, with viewing on those items taking place the same afternoon, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the City of Brandon Parks Complex, located at 2020 McGregor Avenue.

All questions relating to the vehicles and equipment up for sale should be directed to the City of Brandon’s Purchasing Department by emailing purchasing@brandon.ca.

Bids will be accepted until Thursday, November 20th, 2014, at 5:00 p.m. Interested individuals are encouraged to refer to the bid opportunity package for information on how to submit their bid. Bids are generally awarded to the highest competent bidder who meets the required specifications. However, the City retains the right to reject any or all bids.

Of important note to the public, a bid is binding and irrevocable for a period of thirty (30) days following the closing date. Once an award of a vehicle is made by the City of Brandon, the bidder is bound to purchase that unit.
