VOTING PLACES
Voting stations will be open for voting on Wednesday the 18th day of May, 2016 between
8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the following locations:
WARD 9
Riverview School, 1105 Louise Ave E.
King George , 535 Park St, Brandon
Lions Manor, 35 Victoria Ave E.
Eligible electors of Riverview Ward may vote at any of the above polling stations.
IDENTIFICATION WILL BE REQUIRED BEFORE BEING ALLOWED TO VOTE. A person will be required to produce one piece of government-issued photo identification (for example - Driver’s License or passport) or at least two other documents that provide proof of identity.
ADVANCE VOTING
For the purpose of accommodating persons who are qualified to vote, but who have reason to believe that they will be absent or otherwise unable to attend their proper voting place on Election Day, advance voting opportunities will be located in the Main Foyer of City Hall, 410 – 9th Street on THURSDAY, MAY 12, 2016 between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
APPLICATION TO VOTE BY SEALED ENVELOPE
A voter who is unable to go in person to the voting place or vote in advance, may apply in person, in writing, or by fax to the Senior Election Official at 410 – 9th Street, Brandon, MB R7A 6A2 or at fax number 204-729-0975. If applying in person, a voter may apply Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and noon and 1:15 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
A voter applying in person, after April 20th, 2016 may pick up a sealed envelope ballot package at the time of application.
If applying by mail or fax, a voter may apply between April 20th and May 13th, 2016.
A voter applying by mail or fax will receive a sealed envelope ballot package by regular post, or by making alternative arrangements with the Senior Election Official.
