Health - Brandon will be a healthy community
The population in our region is continuing to age and in conjunction with the reported increase in obesity levels and the lack of physical activity, our community has placed a high requirement on the health care industry. While there continues to be a strong concerted effort made to attract physicians, with a national shortage the challenge will be to have the amenities and attributes as a community to not only attract but to retain the physicians we have. As a community we are fortunate to have state of the art equipment and facilities that offer a wide range of programs and services to our residents. We are also fortunate to have numerous community based support programs and groups that partner to focus beyond just simply the medical needs, to areas of prevention and skill development.
