HUB Renewal
Overview
The purpose of our pilot is to make the HUB better and we will continue to adjust parts of the pilot based on community feedback. The location of the pedestrian mall is along Rosser Avenue from 9th street to 10th street. The pilot will end at the completion of the weekend of “Rock the Block” on Sunday, September 18th, 2011.
One way streets and angle parking
- 10th street one-way going North from Princess Avenue to Pacific Avenue; with angled parking on the West side of the street
- 9th street one-way going South from Pacific Avenue to Princess Avenue; with angled parking on the East side of the street
- Large loading zones are located on the side of the street opposite the angled parking
- Motorcycle only parking stalled added In the short term users of the parking spaces will not be charged while the reconfiguration is being evaluated.
- Metered parking arrangements will be reintroduced in 2012.
- Downtown businesses and their employees are reminded that the increased parking spaces are intended to enhance the customer and resident experience downtown. The business community’s cooperation in ensuring this type of use is appreciated.
- The back alleys between 9th and 10th street are closed to regular traffic. Delivery Trucks and Sanitation Vehicles are allowed to use this alleys.
The pilot of the one-way streets, angled parking, and free parking will continue until the end of the year.

HUB Wi-Fi Network
Some of the main features of this free Wi-Fi service are as follows:
- 17 access points
- 120 minutes for free a day
- 24-hr, weekly, and monthly passes are available for unlimited
- Area extends from 7th to 12th and Rosser to Princess
- Best signal strength is in the Pedestrian Mall area and Princess Park
