The Operational Services Department would like to welcome you to its redesigned webpage. Some of the department’s functions include maintaining city streets, providing transit service, repairing waterlines, waste and recycling management, planning and supporting community initiatives, and the upkeep of parks and walkways. Primarily, the Operations Services Department works to improve the quality of life for the citizens of Brandon. Operation Services is divided into three divisions; Community Services, Public Works and Sanitation/ Transportation.

This webpage is a portal for information on the variety of services offered by Operational Services, which includes common information, answers to questions, and ways to get in contact with the various departments. The various departments can be accessed on the left side of your page.

Operational Services is in the process of implementing some exciting new projects for the City of Brandon. The new waste management system will be implemented at the end of the summer. This system will increase the amount of waste being diverted from the city landfill. The City of Brandon/YMCA new aquatics/fitness facility will break ground in early 2009. For the summer of 2008, the Youth Activity Centres for youth ages 10-14 will be reopened in early July and Communities in Bloom judging of Brandon will take place at the end of July.
